E36ShoppingTrolley 7 Report post Posted February 20, 2011 The other day i had the boot filled to the brim and something has come undone, now the boot wont stay open. its a simple mechanism and probably a simple fix but i cant figure it out! anyone had this problem/ know the trick to fixing it? its a 4dr 87 325i if that helps. Yankus 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2011 First i'd check that the 2 hinge springs are still hooked into their notches. These are 2 long metal rods that run side to side between the two boot hinges. You may find one has come out. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
