Clumsy e30 owner who leaves his lights on.

Twice now I have turned the ignition off and walked away from the car with the lights on ( not at night but in poor visability conditions)

The car defaults to parking lights only which is great, but not so much when you don't go back to your car till 15 or so hours later when the battery has all but discharged fully.

Has anyone fitted an after market light on warning buzzer? is there onew supposed to be on the car already and maybe it's just no functional? I would have thought it was fairly standard equipment on a car even from the early 80's

^^^^^ That... or a simple little 12v buzzer & connect across park light & ign circuits.

Will then come on when lights on with key off.

And no - the E30 never came with light warning buzzer
