jad 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2011 Hi, I have a 01/2001 E39 Touring with a Nav HU and want to swap out the Japanese radio module in the boot to a Euro model BM24 so as to get NZ radio. From what I understand it's just plug and play right. Just wondering if anybody has any for sale?- Im struggling to find what I need on Ebay... Thanks I don't have one for sale but can confirm that BM24 is plug and play into 2001 e39 touring. I got one off ebay.de. Asked the seller if they would ship internationally and they agreed to. Might help if you can speak a bit of german or use translation software. If you still have jap nav be aware that the display may not be compatible, when I first installed mine it all worked but would not display radio info on the screen, but I was fitting a mk4 nav unit so didn't worry. Now with new nav display is as it should be. I'm very happy with the BM24, would like to have gone BM54 but quite a bit more outlay and parts required. aux input and mp3 tag display would be cool though.
