I had the joy of "finally" joining the BMW owners club today as I picked up my 2000 E46 330i Motorsport, damn it's a nice ride, I have spent the last 4-5 hours seraching the net for negitives and positives and have come to the conclusion it was a good purchase, yes the 328 has what I have read a slightly better power steering system and possibly a "more fun" throttle response (according to some) BUT I can't take the smile off my face when driving this car, it's smooth, it's powerful,it looks good and feels good, what else do I need??????? I'm looking forward to adding a few Ultra Racing braces & bits ( not much needs upgrading I believe though) and I have a range of ABS/Plastic Rear Spoiler Lips ( not cheap rubber sh*t), CARBON ENGINE COVERS (2pce 6cyl and single pce M3), Roof Spoilers and Black replacement grilles on their way ( any interest in these just let me know by the way ) and I need to tint the windows for the finished look and just drive it I guess, lol ( that is once my wife gives me back the keys ) BUT I do have a tech question for those who have been around Bemmers longer than my 7 hours, I know ( have read) the difference between the suspension/bracing etc of the 330i & the 330i "motorsport" but can't seem to find a hell of a lot of info if the engines are slightly up-spec'd also between these 2 models, would appreciate any info. AN E30 Fan 1 Report post Posted August 8, 2011 Nope, the 330i 'Motorsport' and 330i engines are exactly the same. The differences are meerly cosmetic and suspension upgrades.
