syphe 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2011 Hi, Just got my first E30 a few weeks ago, just a lowly 318i auto, but something to start on. Anyway, the drivers door lock is pretty fubar, lets me lock, but not unlock, sounds like this is very common, and I came across a number of repair kits on ebay and such for between $20-40 USD. However these all mention fitting LHD cars, realoem.com list a couple: Part 51219556313 (Rep.kit f lock cylinder) found in: Door handle front/lock/key Part 51219061343 (REPAIR KIT LOCK CYLINDER LEFT) found in: Door handle front/lock/key does anyone know whether the top part will work for rhd cars? it seems like its for passenger side of LHD cars, so I'm a bit sceptical about wasting my time on one if it's gonna be useless. syphe 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 Left & right locks have opposite actuator arms so would it be safe to assume the passenger door lock kit for LHD would work as the driver side lock kit on a RHD car?
