my_e36 43 Report post Posted June 7, 2005 There's so many performance chips out there, can they actually be used on a newer bimmers? (post-96 or OBD-II) Many chips are made in US, will they be suitable to us in NZ? (being Euro spec)
aliluya 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2005 The OBD-II stuff is just easier getting some one to plug in their laptop with the correct connections ofcourse and reprogram the car for you. Don't need chip or anything ... if you know how to do it you can just buy the connection kit and software from somewhere on the internet .. i used to have links for them but i don't know where i put them... Just do a search you'll find HEAPS of stuff on them.

my_e36 43 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 I heard that the stock ECU have some ability to adopt to mods like exhaust, intake and cams. If that's true, then what are those chips does that the stock ECU don't?
