Gunner 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2012 (edited) Okay I finally got my car back from the mechanics, I told them I wanted the PCV replaced along with any other hoses split behind the intake manifold so I assumed they would have replaced it. I did a test that another mechanic and other tips I found online which was to remove the oil filler cap when the engine is running and see how it runs still. I just attempted this now and as soon as I removed it, it sounded as if the engine stopped for 1 sec then started again and it began to idle real rough. Is this normal? btw its an N42B20 engine Also before I took it in it had a whistling sound and still has it after I got it back.
