330iMSport 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2012 Loud bang today which sounded like it came from the right rear. Still seems to drive ok (gently) but seems to sit slightly lower on one side. Apparently rear coil failure is reasonably common on E46's so I'm guessing that will be the problem once I jack it up. Assuming it is, does anyone know a ballpark cost for replacements and installation? I'm guess aftermarket coils are going to be cheaper an easier than genuine motorsport ones. No doubt it makes sense to do both rear ones at the same time? I'd also be interested in any recommendations in Hamilton. Have used SD European in the past but a hassle to get out there.
