Mac 2 Report post Posted May 24, 2012 (edited) K&N are a very well known replacement filter / intake option who produce intake panel filters and kits for a massive range of cars including the BMW! The produce OEM replacement non-Oiled (dry) panel filters to replace the stock item (and to provide small power gains, a cleaner air flow and better filtration) right through to cold air intake kits which bolt in and have all the correct attachments for sensors and hoses. Filters range from $59 upwards, and the intake kits range from $379 upwards (M3 Pictured below) Fortunately K&N have a very good search engine you can use to find the kit you want: http://www.knfilters.com/ If you let us know the part number you want, we'll quote you to your door! Mac 2 Report post Posted January 8, 2013 More options to add to the list and they are two goodies that we've dealt for years! Gruppe M http://www.gruppem.co.jp/ A Japanese air intake kit designer and retailer, Gruppe M are more or less for the modern performance car. From Honda to BMW, they make many different cold air intake boxes and kits - and also dabble in Carbon Fiber work also, for which they are quite famous. They use K&N filters (so better to just grab that off us, direct) but some of the intake pod-filter kits go a little beyond a drop-in filter style. We can search for your application, but you can also try to find it yourself too: http://www.gruppem.co.jp/matching/products...arch_result.php Let us know the year, make, model and chassis and we'll let you know the delivered price! AFE http://afepower.com/ AFE are a famous intake filter maker who supply many brands around the world - and of course - they do their own items. Ranging from drop in filters to cold air systems, there's normally a solid option for your needs - from street to race to standard replacement. Again you can search their site yourself and throw a part number at us, or we can search on your behalf with your year, make, model and chassis. Mac 2 Report post Posted June 27, 2013 Both AFE and K&N do replacement panel filters which drop straight in to your engine. For those who have not touched this area of the car for >30,000kms or who drive in coastal or dusty regions, or for those who want a little more free-flow filtration, these are great deals. Most K&N and AFE filters start from $59 delivered. They do many makes and models, and the AFE example below is for the BMW 5/6/7-Ser 77-89 L6; M3 88-91 L4-2.3L , part number 30-10048 - $116 delivered The K&N filter below is for most 90-99 BMW's - 33-2059 $85 delivered!
