oldskoolbeamergurl 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2005 About Chosen Few Car Club Inc. Chosen Few Car Club Inc. was established in 2001, we are a collection of people who are into modifying and racing our performance cars in a BIG way! By the very nature of the cars many of our members are or have been involved in various forms of motorsport and entered big events like the 4 & Rotary Nationals and Autosalon. Chosen Few has been meeting not just to socialise, but also to exchange technical information and helpful advice on maintenance and developments on performance cars nationwide. The club started off as 3 cousins, (more or less it was a family affair). We all had Subaru's, and wanted to start up our own Subaru car club. The name came by way of a scripture taken out of the bible... Matthew 22.14 - For many are called but Few are Chosen Chosen Few accepts all car's, from turbos to non-turbos but within Chosen Few criteria, whether it be piston power or non piston, V6's, V8's, as long as all cars are of performance and able to be modified for speed, showing off, and cruising. In 2003 Chosen Few Car Club became an official registered club and the club has annual fees, an initial $35.00 for the first year and $25 every year thereafter, these fees cover club admin costs and keeps the website up and running and also goes towards club functions and drag days. We are not a money making club and we are dedicated in having members who love cars and love to modify cars. Here is a sample of what being a member has to offer. a) We have shop's which offer discounts on goods and service's We have car cruise's up and down NZ. c) We hold drag event's against other car group's d) It's a great way to meet new friends and getting new tips from other members. e) Being able to purchase gear from other members that are upgrading at a good cost. All enquiries regarding membership or if you feel you have something to offer our club by way of sponsor or whatever, please feel free to phone me, Andge on 021 238 4322 We are car enthusiasts who pride ourselves on our car's. We also have strict guidelines and rules, especially regarding drunken driving! Finally we're always looking for new members that are willing to modify their rides. Even if your ride has no mods, don't think it isn't Chosen Few material. We know if your serious about being a member with the Chosen Few Team, you will do all you can to modify your ride. All you need is a little time, money, and effort and you will be set. All we ask is to have a nice clean ride ready to modify! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Williams BMW 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2005 Thanks for the explanation. I guess it's good to see younger people getting together with a common interest. There's nothing wrong with being a car enthusiast and joining a club of like-minded people, looks like there's alot to offer there.
