E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Just thought I show off the new addition to the Family. It is a '98 Toyota Altezza RS200, 6spd, 210hp 4cyl. I must say it is one of the nicest cars I have driven, it could do with a bit more "go" (or less weight) but as a package it is very nice and puts a smile on your face. cainchapman 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Nice, Jap 3 series. They shouldn't be allowed to call it RS though. Cosworth need to be involved to earn those initials.
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Yeah, it is a bit of a rip. Type RS200 into google and you get more Toyota info (most of it crap) than the Group B monster

shadowninja 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Nice ride matey. I've driven one of those, and found it quite 'sterile' to drive in comparison to a Bimmer. Kinda like the 'swiss watch' look of the dash instruments.

The Ford was an RS2000My second car was a mark II Escort sport 1600. Was bored out to 1850 and went like the clappers.
petone 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Yeah I like them as well, jap 3 series as cain said. There only 2 litre, right? If so they have impressive power per litre, or is it all revs and no torque?
cainchapman 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 There was an RS2000 Martyn, but it was a Ruscort (Escort). The RS200 was a Group B weapon. 0-100 in 2.1 seconds. 650hp from 2.1 litres.
