Cheers Tranzrail can be good for large heavy bits going inter-island if you get a m3 rate. Depends how helpful the sender can be cos they are not a door to door service. I sent an ice slushy machine all boxed up weighed about 150kg's Tauranga to Kaikoura for approx $150. That was from Tga depot to a rail stop in kaikoura.
