deeveus 81 Report post Posted September 14, 2012 I'm driving a BMW 320d E46 as my daily lately. It had a full BMW service about 11 months ago and is due one in about 4000kms. I thought I'd check the oil/water, oil was fine but the water seemed to be quite low? However there seemed to be a grey type pulp underneath the radiator cap. Can anyone enlighten? Also, what do I topup the coolant with just standard anti-freeze? Also, the little yellow light is coming up on the dash which I'm guessing suggests that the water level is low? deeveus 81 Report post Posted September 15, 2012 I was thinking they'd done the cooling system, the service was some $900 or so from memory. Will double check what that light is but basically it's a picture of a tank with a water level. Cheers.
my_e36 43 Report post Posted September 15, 2012 Use genuine BMW or Mercedes anti-freeze, which is blue in colour.
