Battery Replacement

Recommended Posts

Hi all my e46 2004 battery just died, it was using a "super charge" cca 600 smf65L.

Is there any tips/advice on the current market of batteries readily out there?

Will resort to jeff grey's OEM batts  , (exide??).

In CHCH so not much choice regarding options.

Can anyone chip in please?

Thanks.

Have you tried Bosch Battery, part number 56318 which is equivalent to a DIN65. We sell them here in Auckland but not too sure if it's avalable in the South Island. Cheers

Supercharge are excellent and the battery of choice for some independent BMW specialists and non-BMW factory dealerships. Some BMW dealerships carry Bosch, can't go wrong with that either.

But I have recently discovered Koba, which is stocked by Partmaster and is very well-priced especially if you can get it at trade pricing. Was recommended by some folks in the trade. Seems to be well made and comes with a 3 year warranty, which would suggest a certain level of quality. Some folks on this forum may have a different opinion.

the most important thing is to get a battery that is equal to or better than the one recomended(in performance/capacity)
