E36 M50 PCV valve

Recommended Posts

Hi, can anyone tell me where to locate the PCV valve & hosing on a M50B25 engine. I need to replace the valve & also have an oil catch can to install. If anyone has done this before or can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean ICV (Idle Control Valve???) if so it is found between the throttle body and the air box, vague I know but thats where it is Get a new one and You will identify it easily, as for the catch tank a non vanos engine has a breather outlet at the front of the engine on the intake side there is a twin outlet one is 12mm the other about 8 i think, both go to the same place so you could block the 8mm one off and just have a breather on the tank, no need to return to the sump.

Vanos I dont know I would have to go and have a look at my car.
