325isimon 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Hi, can anyone tell me where to locate the PCV valve & hosing on a M50B25 engine. I need to replace the valve & also have an oil catch can to install. If anyone has done this before or can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Cheerz
Jonty m50e30 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 Do you mean ICV (Idle Control Valve???) if so it is found between the throttle body and the air box, vague I know but thats where it is Get a new one and You will identify it easily, as for the catch tank a non vanos engine has a breather outlet at the front of the engine on the intake side there is a twin outlet one is 12mm the other about 8 i think, both go to the same place so you could block the 8mm one off and just have a breather on the tank, no need to return to the sump. Vanos I dont know I would have to go and have a look at my car.
