I know it's possible to have the DME reflashed to make it think it's no longer an auto etc, but would it be possible to use an ECU from the donor car as a straight swap? Both cars are pre EWS AFAIK; mine is 9/94 and I *think* the donor was mid-'93. Will this work? Am suspicious the DMEs will also carry the VIN, and if thats the case I have the feeling my idea is fatally flawed. Any input from those that are smarter than I would be handy!
