BMWZ42.2I 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2013 Hi there, I have a quick question. I have a factory 17 inch rim with "run flat" tyre. I am interested in buying a brand new replica 19 inch M6 rim. Here is a quick link: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-...-640090139.htm My question is: Is it possible to use my current tyres on a 19inch rim? I am not familiar with 'run flat' tyres. I do not to want spend more on tyres as my current ones are in decent condition. ps: 2003 bmw z4

Phil-540i 166 Report post Posted September 20, 2013 If you use lots & lots of lube, I'm sure that you'll get them to fit............ Lots easier than putting 19" tyres on 17" rims, as that takes lots of gorilla snot to take up the clearance that way......
Mr2low 57 Report post Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) What, really, please say your taking the piss. What I want to say is (you own a 2003 z4 20k when i last looked maybe less now, you want to buy new wheels fair enough but you don't want to buy new tires because there in good condition. However you'd like to risk your own and others lives by stretching a tire 2 inches smaller over a wheel. Even if you found a shop willing to do it do you realise how stupid this sounds, sell your 17's and stop being a dumb c**t) edit, you have made two comments so far first was my car needs 10w30 (ive just seen how much it is for 4l and sh*t myself) can i put cheap 'Japanese' stuff in. and now this one Edited September 21, 2013 by Mr2low
