New Member - E87 Questions

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

New to the forum, Darin Dickson (owns an e36) told me to sign up here.

Currently I don't actually own a BMW, however I am looking into selling my MK3 golf and purchasing an E87 and putting it on air suspension. I haven't found a whole lot of info online about lowering E87s and if there are any issues, If any of you own an E87 and know a little about it would love to hear.

Also are there any specific things I should be looking out for when purchasing one? Any issues or model substantially better than others for the price?

Excuse the newbie in me but hopefully I can find a decent car if I can get the golf sold.

Thanks again!

i dont see what is special about the e87 compared to anu other car.As a golf owner you may be disapointed in the internal space of an e87.an inline engine and gearbox makes the cabin relatively small. The brakes and steering and balance is really nice tho.It will be very difficult to find a manual one

Definitely a wealth of knowledge available to you here Tyler, there's a few ongoing E87 discussions already..

And I'm sure you have a bit to contribute to the forum too.. Chuck up the pics of the pencil case and the award winning Escort!

On top of that, for those who don't know Tyler, he is a talented lad who runs Helmart...

My favourite design so far:
