E30Conman 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2014 Is there a E30 with a better history? Bought new from Coombes Tauranga by a middle aged lady, after 20years she sold it to her daughter (by then she was middle aged) I bought it 6 odd years ago (also middle aged) and have cared for the car like the collector it will soon become (i previously owned a very rare 1981 E21 323i Baur Cabrio). Everything has been done to keep her in top shape, all receipts and spends documented, serviced and maintained by renowned BM specialists AutoBahn Trnga. Always garaged, used as a Sunday car - can't recall driving her in the rain, always idled for 10 before a drive, this car has been very well looked after. New roof, shocks, cambelt changed (+water pump) at 148 kms, BBS wheels refurbished and powder coated, dashboard and switch gear immaculate. M Tech 2 steering wheel imported from Germany - much better look and feel, and smaller for those with long legs. The sound of this motor in manual 5 speed is pretty special. Details: 153kms, ABS, central locking, Pioneer CD player with aux in, 15inch BBS "basket weaves" (225/50R15 rear, 205/55R15 fr). Upholstery is herringbone cloth in very good condition. There is the odd nick and scratch on the side panels, the rest of the paintwork is in excellent condition, current rego and WOF. I'm selling as I no longer have the time to use her, this car would suit a collector or someone who enjoys soft top motoring in a neat retro sports car. I would love this car to go to a member who will appreciate her condition and history Asking 10k FIRM. Text or call for more pix and info (can not upload any more pictures). 027 548 5484. Tidy30 38 Report post Posted January 20, 2014 Hi, the body colour looks great with the houndstooth fabric. Just a small niggly question, did you mean to type in tech1 wheel? The image supplied shows a tech1 and not tech2. Best of luck for the sale, a bit higher priced than what you see on the likes of trademe, but from what I see a very very tidy and a much better maintained cabrio. Yip sharply spotted, that pic was before the M Tech 2 addition, it cost $650 odd but a worthy upgrade, better looking and feel (wider and smaller) which suited my long kegs :-), I realise this won't be the cheapest but given it's history and condition, I expect someone will see it for what it is - a really good example of a great soon to be classic , hey a new roof can cost a few K alone :-) Cheers ! E30Conman 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2014 Good luck! I love that colour!! Cheers , yeah I reckon the colour really suits the retro look of the car, and I know this'll wind up some regulars but I also reckon the pre face lift chromy bits are a better fit as well ;-)
