bem-on 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 Hay guys heres the story, I was installing an amp and once I had every thing working I thought I would take the amp out to clean up the set up a bit. Big mistake, one that might have costed me a $400 2 month old head unit that they don’t make any more so I cant get another one. When the amp was out I forgot to disconnect the positive that runs straight from the battery which hit the rca and fried the internal amp. The head unit works when running it off an amp but every time i change the station or track it makes this noise that is so freakin annoying. And after a week the amp went as well, that’s another $200. Does any one know what I can do, any place that could fix it or should I just get a new one?
