Rangi 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2005 Hey, I opened the bonnet of the 1989 bmw 325 (facelift) i recently aquired and found that there was a lot of wiring not connected to anything ie plugs that dont go to anywhere particular. the one that concerens me the most is one of the plugs that connects to the intake manifold and has 3 different plugs that all fit it. Also there is a set of hoses that arent connect to anything and i cant see where the should go. ill try and get some pictures up tonight but was just wondering if there should be spare plugs or hoses (my guess is no)

Guest Andrew Report post Posted December 1, 2005 does the car go or not? the CAS sensor is on the front of the motor on your car - reading off a toothed wheel
318is 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2005 You may have some generic wiring loom, and those unused are basically, unused. If the car is running ok -- you shouldn't have a problem. I'm sure i've seen loose connector blocks under my bonnet as well.

Rangi 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2005 it did go before my useless halfass brother pulled bits to pieces (if your reading your heard me right fool) although it overheated but i have diagnosed that, and was just checking that everything was in its place before i fire it up and kill it completely. Yeah i got to thinking that maybe it was a generic loom, there were 5 female plugs and two male, im hoping i got the male to the right female although the plug design would suggest im correct. oh and i have a honda, i just leave it on the side of the road to rust as a reminder to the world of the fate that is a car designed by a japanese man that has had too much sake, living in a hope that someone will steal it
