jonoe30 53 Report post Posted February 15, 2016 I have an elcheapo ELM327 OBD-II to USB cable if this will work for you?
fatjoez 3 Report post Posted February 15, 2016 Hey buddy not 100% sure but I don't think so. I think there is a difference between ELM and DCAN so the softwares etc asking for DCAN won't work
Donut 7 Report post Posted February 16, 2016 If that fails I am your backup. Bought a DCAN cable recently and was advertised being compatible with E90
fatjoez 3 Report post Posted February 16, 2016 Guys thanks for replies and pms. Jin108 generously loaned his cable yesterday. So far I have flashed the Alpina B3 gearbox transmission profile. You can google it to read more but basically it makes the gearbox shift smoother faster etc. I will flash the ecu map today. I will try to do some coding too to change some features. Let me know if anyone needs help with this as my laptop is setup with the software now
Donut 7 Report post Posted February 16, 2016 That would be nice! Trying to figure out how to remove the error code on my E70 LCI so I bought this. Error code due to replaced fog light with LED Installed software and looks like it is communicating with the car (both the ignition and battery dots solid, INPA) but as soon as I select E70 modules it throws an error.
