dkonsta1 109 Report post Posted June 1, 2016 Hi guys. My 540i is 99 Japanese import with tv/navigation and cd changer. I got a European tuner from eBay to replace the Japanese tuner which is hopeless outside of Auckland. All plug and play; same connectors etc. Installed today. Success!!!! BUT !!!..... I lost my CD input. When browsing using MODE button I only have tape and radio. The donor tuner came from a 1995 E38 with CD changer so I suspect it has to do with the year. Apparently the early CD changers had different pinouts and connection style. Any experience or ideas?
