twiggles94 8 Report post Posted June 20, 2016 The left front speaker in my e39 is distorting even when I swap the right speaker over and my left rear speaker doesn't play half the time, actually more than half the time. I suspect the factory amp to be the culprit as I have a pretty new aftermarket HU and it was playing fine for a little while up until the last few months. Does anyone have any experience getting their amp rebuilt? I don't see much point in buying a second hand one as it seems to be a common issue with age on these amps.
