bimmer boy 21 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 A 1990 E30 would be a facelift The difference between the two are the rear tail lights and usually facelifts have ellipsoids (not in the US) and facelifts also have plastic bumpers rather than the chrome ones which can be seen on pre facelift E30's. As well as the rear wheel arch on the facelift is lower than the pre FL (someone correct me if im wrong). Also facelifts and prefacelift E30's also have a few differences in engines.
