so why is the box off? what is wrong exactly?

They will lap the surface of the flywheel anyway (you can't machine them) to get the grooves out.

A lightened flywheel is one of THE most under-rated performance modifications. Done well, they are AWESOME.

No lose in torque.

Only 'gains'

Only 'lose' "may" be in drivability. A large flywheel has more inertia allowing for 'easier' gear change and clutch release.

Essentially a relationship of rotational dynamics.

oh, and you don't have an M3 Master Cylinder.
