DCEIVN 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 style 5 on a car again.... having trouble finding photos of them by themselves
E30stz 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 (edited) the 18's style 5's on the E28 in those photos reminds me of the White 190E with huge wire wheels on it in Auckland, I dont think they suit. Too big in my opinion. 16-17 tops, even 17's pushing it.. although theres not that many 16's aroudn that do justice in terms of design. DCEIVN 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 yeah i think that the BBS RS are more "edgy and look better" also the 18" seems too curvy? and they are in 18" because thats all the supplier had at the time? don't mind 17"
DCEIVN 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 style 5 look ok on this one

bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 well, as sam said RS's are fairly rare, esp in that size, i say go with the 17"/18" style 5s, theyll look badass. do it udit.
DCEIVN 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 haha it will be done. whats putting me away from the style 5s is that in 18" tyres are more exp. and also that they may look too big? also i think RS has better lines for the e28 but then again is 18" too big or not? At the moment im also trying to figure out which one has more dish. anyway, I should finalise deal this month but I won't be able to afford tyres till next month, and im also saving for a repaint so I may even wait for that to be over and for the tyres to be slicks on my current hockenheims before I get tyres for them. So you lot may not even get photos for a while....
my_e36 43 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 They look almost the same to me in the photos except the BBS has more shiny lips.
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 I'd go with 17" style 5's or RS's, NOT 18's though, look a bit too big IMO.
conrod 1 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 I'd go with 17" style 5's or RS's, NOT 18's though, look a bit too big IMO. I agree, and have always preferred the "RS" style as they are a proper 3 piece wheel with spun rims, where the type 5 is 2 piece with cast rims, and I am not a big fan of "imitation" 3 piece wheels- but that is probably me just being anal! Problem is finding the RS wheels, not exactly common.
DCEIVN 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 Ok looks like its the RS on the cards at the moment. I've got some in line. set me back a fair penny though. still waiting to hear back from the guy, hes on holiday so hopefully next week.
