Possible that your shocks had leaks etc Remember an E30 is hardly new Factory suspension obviously a lot cheaper than Bilsteins. For instance new bilsteins on the rear of my car were more than double the cost of Munroes. Didn't have much cash at the time so I went for the Munroes.
