Siani 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2006 I have a 1991 525i E34 and on Sunday I had overheating problems. Today I took it to be looked at and was told the radiator was totally had it. What should I expect to pay for a new replacement? The price I was quoted for a new one was around about $500 plus labour. TIA
E30stz 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2006 (edited) a 2nd hand radiator could do wonders, probably set you back between about $130+ but a much cheap option. Just get local mechanic to install it, maybe $150 labour. Edited May 8, 2006 by E30stz

Siani 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2006 Is that about the right price for a new one though? $500?
JasonZE 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2006 that is not a bad price for a radiator i got a new one at xmas and through my work (trade price) wasnt much less than that. If you are keeping the car then get a new one second hand isnt really worth the risk as far as im concerned. It would be a good time to do the thermostat to (best go genuine)
Siani 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2006 Thanks for the replies. :thumb: I've done various bits as needed and I've gone new so far, as I intend to keep it. I was just about to start on saving for a new airconditioning unit when this happened.
