Guest Spargo Report post Posted June 3, 2006 (edited) I finally had a chance to run my cars VIN with BMW, and this is what it came up with: Vehicle information VIN long ZBAAB38030AF44666 Type code AB38 Type 325I (ZAF) Dev. series E30 () Line 3 Body type LIM Steering RL Door count 2 Engine M20 Cubical capacity 2.50 Power 0 Transmision HECK Gearbox MECH Colour NICHT VORHANDEN (*) Upholstery nicht gemeldet (*) Prod. date 1990-05-04 -----> Here is where it should list options like LSD / M-technic bodykit etc etc, and their option numbers, but it never left germany with them, so it doesn't. Still doesn't tell me what options I got as it left the factory as in effect, a chassis in a crate. Does anyone have access to build records for South African cars? If the printout ain't been removed, it'll still be there. PS: Did you know you could decode your VIN on the 'net? stubbszy 633csi 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2006 I TOOK MY VIN NUMBER INTO SHELLY'S BMW IN WELLINGTON (LAST 8 NUMBERS I.E AB77358) AND THEY GAVE ME A PRINT OUT AT THE PARTS DEPT. WITH ALL THE INFO ON IT LIKE YOU LISTED + OTHER OPTIONS AND FOR MY E36 THEY LISTED ANOTHER 19 THINGS. IT SPECIFIED THINGS LIKED CD CHANGER PREPARTAION, TYRE CONTROL, JAPAN VERSION, LEATHER STEERING WHEEL. ETC ETC. HOPE THIS HELPS Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
