High pitch sound when filling gas

Hi folks,

Hope you all are enjoying the fantastic weather!

I have been noticing a strange high frequency tone when filling gas in my car. Has anyone encountered this before?

Could this be a sign of something failing or am I just being paranoid?

I have attached a video recording of the issue. Any insights would be helpful.

If that's the case, I'd have to get it checked by my mechanic and claim for any repairs/parts. But, why do you say do?

Failing fuel pump?

Sorry to mislead. It was an attempt at humour - a comment on the price of petrol these days. If I was to hazard a guess I would say check your fuel breather valve.

Alright, finally got it checked by my mechanic and he says the sound is coming from the gas pump and not from the car's gas tank. Just putting it here in case anyone else encounters this!
