318 g ride 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 hi. i have a slight problem regarding my gas pedal in my E30 318. every time it gets close to the floor it pops down and stays floored (which is not good. i have been drining round in my socks pulling it back with my toes for the last month) i have cheked the throttle springs and the cable and they all seem fine. if anyone has encountered this or has any ideas on what it could be id be keen to hear from ya. ps im still looking for a silver bonnet and pannel. PHAT 89 BEMA 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 hi i sort of had the same problem but mine just come back very slowly & my cable looked fine but it wasnt so i changed it with a one off trade me & it works fine so it could just be your cable? or if its not the cable the only thing it could be is the throttle body
Guest Andrew Report post Posted June 21, 2006 cable will be mank. However gus used a rubberband on my racecar when we were at the track - it's worked great ever since then hah.
Gus 5 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 rubberband that sh*t.... check you throttle body, the linkages in the throttle pedal, the cable itself..the cable strands can unwind and break...not cool....maybe get a new one? not too tough to change
Steve K-B 51 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Your gas pedal sticks to the floor? I like your style. I agree with the others, try the cable.
