Guest Andrew Report post Posted August 10, 2006 Those of you with E30s will know how (IMO) have a crappy linkage setup from the trailing arm to the sway bar. The angle between the bar and linkage gets more obtuse as the suspension compreses - taking out a lot of the force that the bar can act on the trailing arm. (Like this) linkage swaybar linkage _____________________ / \ / \ T/ARM T/ARM This is exagerated when using any sort of 'performance' sway bar that has a different linkage setup. Mark Herbert has suggested it would ideal to relocated the connect point to the top of the trailing arm. I have avoided doing this as this is a full Turner Motorsport suspension kit and presumably they know what they are doing. I am also reluctant to change as the car is handling very well - slight understeer at very high speed with oversteer as it exits corners and unloads. Would like some thoughts on this. (Attached is image of my bent trailing arm tabs - the turner motorsport reinforcement kit is getting fitted as we speak).
