Guest Andrew Report post Posted September 3, 2006 The rear view mirror randomly fell off last night in the e36. It has left the funny looking part attached to the windscreen and the mirror is dangling off the wires (for remote and stuff). How on earth do you get it back on? Yuen 16 Report post Posted September 3, 2006 It works the same as any other E36 I believe. I bought a rear view mirror from a 98 M3 and fitted it onto my 92 E36, no problem (save for the extra wiring - auto dimming). I just put it on on an angle into the 3 way locking thing attached to the windshield and twist it into place. Sounds like you've tried that though so in that case I don't know.
