red e30 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2006 Hey all, looks like a good group you have here. I hope i can find some info that i need and with a bit of luck help someone else out. I have a 1988 e30 that i purchased stock as rock about three years ago. Since then it has had a bit of work done to make it a bit more reliable for the car club sprints and motorkhanas that i do. cheers, cam

red e30 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2006 thanks for the nice comments guys. I would love to race it, and will at some stage i will but at the moment i can only afford one car so really not going to happen for a few years. It needs a bit more power for me to be competitive on the longer tracks for the under 2lt modified class but hopefully a worked m42 will help that department. I am actually over is Aus. we have a racing series for 325i e30s is this similar to what you guys have? The web page for the series is: http://www.e30racing.com.au

red e30 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 (edited) i really dig it. what sorta kg the minilites weigh? really good mods ya done...all the ones that work and none that don't! welcome Cheers, the wheels are not very light, not sure of exact weight. They are not the genuine Minilite brand that were big in the sixties, they were a magnesium alloy. They are an aussie made wheel that are just an aluminium alloy. I really only went for bigger wheels so i could get a stiffer sidewall and better choice of r compound tyres. Edited October 12, 2006 by red e30
