Newbie with E30

Recommended Posts

Hey all, looks like a good group you have here. I hope i can find some info that i need and with a bit of luck help someone else out.

I have a 1988 e30 that i purchased stock as rock about three years ago. Since then it has had a bit of work done to make it a bit more reliable for the car club sprints and motorkhanas that i do.

cheers,

cam

Very nice. Great mod list - doing the right mods for the right reasons. Makes a nice change.

thanks for the nice comments guys. I would love to race it, and will at some stage i will but at the moment i can only afford one car so really not going to happen for a few years.

It needs a bit more power for me to be competitive on the longer tracks for the under 2lt modified class but hopefully a worked m42 will help that department.

I am actually over is Aus. we have a racing series for 325i e30s is this similar to what you guys have? The web page for the series is:

Cheers, the wheels are not very light, not sure of exact weight. They are not the genuine Minilite brand that were big in the sixties, they were a magnesium alloy. They are an aussie made wheel that are just an aluminium alloy. I really only went for bigger wheels so i could get a stiffer sidewall and better choice of r compound tyres.
