Grant 4 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 I see, he probably actually kept them, becuase he like them so much! Secretly I'm sure he did really like them. What is not to like!!I have been spotting a black 325i parked in one of the empty carparks at my apartment complex most days, it is sitting on bottlecaps, screaming out for the return of the chromies. Cheers

Guest Speedye30 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 I hate to say it, but bottlecaps are a bit lame. Put back the 17"s
Grant 4 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 I hate to say it, but bottlecaps are a bit lame. Put back the 17"s Each to their own I spose.I prefer bottlecaps to 17's. 17's look a bit out of place on an E30 in my opinion. 16's are the ideal size for an E30. E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 mmmmm, 18" Compmotive MO's. Got spare body parts to sell to afford them??? The last set I saw forsale in the US were for $2200, 2nd hand!! My 16's are for sale, prolly not as bling bling as you want, but they are very well suited to the E30 I feel, and they are made to fit (no hub centering rings req'd etc...) $1300 with new Goodyear GS-D3's (205/50) on the front and near new Toyo T-1S's (225/45) on the rear. PM me if you are keen.

Guest Spargo Report post Posted March 16, 2004 Compomotive will make them to suit your car (offset, pcd, hubsize etc) so its actually a pretty good deal. There is a Compomotive dealer in Chch. A new set of 18x8" MO's was going to cost me 5500. I think i'll stick to BBS LM's!!!
crobmw 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 Holly s..t..5000 G's, a bit too much out of my budget. I would spend between sort of 1600 and 2 G. Had 17" chrome raptors with tyres priced up at 2600 any other suggestions
Guest hizza bizza Report post Posted March 16, 2004 I quite liked the chrome raptors gus had on his car (think I was about the only one tho). You should be able to pick up a set for less than $2600 I would have thought tho. Have you considered white rims, those are pretty mean IMO. What colour is ya car by the way?
crobmw 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 yeah I wouldn mind white rims but which ones are they? I suppose I can get these from mag and turbo and those type places?
crobmw 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 just had some AztecX 17's quoted at 1850 with tyres. any thoughts Are these an ok fit for the car. Other suggestions?? thanx
Guest hizza bizza Report post Posted March 17, 2004 ask the place that quoted you bro, they will be able to tell you if they fit, if they can't, well ummm they suck
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 Just make sure they are hub-centric. This means the wheel has to fit perfectly on the spigot on the hub. If the wheel is not hub-centric the wheel bolts are under alot more load than they are designed to handle. The spigot on the hub it what is designed to take the load, and the wheel bolts just hold it in place against the hub face. If you look at the WOF reg's I believe it states something similar for aftermarket wheels, most places are too slack to check though!! But I'm sure the police/insurance companies will if you have a decent prang!! my 2c
Gus 5 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 i got some spacers that make a larger diameter hole in the middle fit over the e30 hub (is that offset) along with spacers for the fronts if you running 17's...used on my chromes...i ended up selling them for 1300 with a curb and 2 f**ked up tyres....still havent got $$ yet though haha
