BMW service lights

Recommended Posts

have just given my e36 an oil and filter change, wondering if anyone in the wellington region owns the electronic tool that resets the service lights. running the wire between the two points hasnt seemed to help, will negotiate rates for reseting this or will give a duz or two. cheers, help would be much appreciated

If your doing it right and it wont work the reset tool wont help. You possably have a dud battery? (Im assuming the E36 is the same set up to the E30 with regards to battery?)

Have you left the wire connected long enough?

I've reset many E36s and they've always worked with the paper clip method.

Whats that then? "Paper Clip Method"
