Removing pre f/l Bumpers

Recommended Posts

Got bored of looking at the car today seeing it's not running so went and tried to get the tech1 front and back on.Failed both miserably.

On the front,I undid the 2 bolts to the left and right of the number plate, found there are 2 bolts under the inner gaurds. Are these what I undo next? They seem to be the only thing that seems about right to undo! Then obviuosly undo the lower lip thing and away we go?

On the back, undid the 2 bolts from the inside and undid the 2 from the outside in the middle.gave it a yank and still wouldnt come off.Thinking those big whorry black things on the inside of the boot are what gets done next.

Any help much appreciated!

Yes - They screw into nylon blocks on the inside of the bit of the bumper that wraps around the side of the car.

Should be all that is needed. The rubber mouldings on the left and right rear contain a plastic "guide" to mate with a moulding on the inside of the sides of the rear bumper which may be twisted and need a bit more "persuasion"?

Ask Will - he takes these things off in his sleep!
