6 -> 6.5 Splits

Situaton:

I want to spend upto $250max for some front components 6 -> 6.5's.

I've got a Panasonic HU with 50W x 4.

What one's do you guys recommend taking into consideration that I just want to run the spkrs off the HU at this stage.

I've had a look at:

~Clif Designs CD60.4C Speakers

~Infinity Kappa 60.7CS 6.5 Speakers

~Phoenix Gold ZR6.0 comp Speakers

~Soundstream TRC.6 Component Speakers

~6.5" PRECISION RESPONSE KEVLAR SPLITS

And like the look of all of them but want some pr0 advice.

i hve infinity kappas, and reference in diff cars both 6.5s, and i love them they r a little bright but with a bit of tuttooing u can make them sound good

both running of 4x50 pioneer head units also running rear speakers from the HU aswell

from memory the kappas were 299 and the reference 199

for the e30 the reference squeeze into the kickpanels but require glovebox mods, but thse door pods u were after wood look kewl aswell, shoulda done tht myself, turned out to be as much fluffin around with the glovebox!!!!!!!

For the price point, go with the infinity Kappas.

If price wasn't an issue, i'd suggest looking at rainbow / D/L/S also

Go 6.5", are you going to get an amp at a later stage or not? Any rear speakers such as 6x9s?

Would love to see some pics! Really keen to do the door pods + some new components and be done with it.

I have 6.5 kappas in my vert, good sound. Advantage is that they fit in to the kick panel with a bit of fiddling so that you don't have a problem with your bonnet lever.
