HI,

I did the same thing but couldn't find a box and fly when I needed so retained the L-Jet and mechanical dizzy. It runs sweet was a bit of shaggin around to get the thermo stuff to fit up to the 2.5 throttle body. I did a write up on what and how havbe a search may be useful. Your most welcome to come and have a look if you want (am in Hamilton).

cheers Matt

Take box off engine first - not hard apart from reaching the top bell housing bolts. Driveshafts only different between auto & manual -manual longer.

I think you will need a shorter driveshaft. We did the exact same conversion between a 86 320i and an 87 325i. Unless the your 320i already has the getrag 260 box, that is.

We had the driveshaft modified and refurbed at the same time to fit, may still have it lying around as car was parted out, will check tomoro.
