  1. $4,000 PRICE REDUCTION to $45,995!!! A modded 65,00km "M" roadster has just been sold by a dealer for $49,950 on Trade Me. That makes mine a great bargain! Just got a new WoF through to 18/02/2018.
  2. Hopefully there is no need to have to describe what a Z4M is on this forum. Only 5,070 M roadsters were made so this is quite a rare beast. With a factory 0-100kph time of 5.0sec this is a fast car This Z4M was made in Feb 2006, first owner bought new in Japan in May 2006, sold at auction Mar 2008 as grade 4.5 at 20,567km to its 1st NZ owner who mostly kept it under a dust cover until I purchased in Feb 2013 at 22,264km. This "M" has virtually every factory option it was possible to order. I also acquired a rare factory Z4 hardtop in Titan Silber Metallic (worth $8k new!) available for $4k should the buyer wish to purchase it. I have retro-fitted NZ Sat Nav, fitted a new hi-capacity battery, new rear tyres (German made Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2), had annual wheel alignments & a recent full service (Castrol Edge 10W-60) and front brake discs skimmed & new OEM pads. As I work from home the kms have been kept ultra-low!! Silver grey (silbergrau) paintwork with sepang brown nappa leather "M" sport seats & madeira nutwood dashboard/centre console trim. 3 keys, leather owner's pouch with service book, Z4 & Z4M owner's books. When new the Z4M was MUCH pricier at NZ$162,900 than lesser Z4 (a 3.0 auto was $106,900) but this one is now very competitively priced for sale (compared to other inferior high mileage examples currently for sale in NZ). In the UK much higher mileage examples are selling for up to NZ$55k, even a coupe done only 3km for NZ$88.5k! The last known N.Z. Z4M sale was for @$55k in Nov 2016 of a red roadster travelled 8km. I'd be open to a NEAR offer on my ask price of $49,995, not silly offers.
  3. Thanks for that. Brilliant. I now have the full spec sheet for my car :-)
  4. How/where did you get the factory spec info? I've got a spec sheet like that from a BMW dealer before, but if you can point me elsewhere (on the Interweb?!) to where it could be independently obtained that would be really handy. Thanks
  5. You'd better tell BMW then - they offer wood as an option or standard on a multitude of their models. You wouldn't would you, but why wouldn't other want wood? MY INTRODUCTION IS NOW CLOSED TO WEIRD RESPONSES. THANK YOU.
  6. Yes indeed! You said what I was thinking! :-) There were 9 different choices for "interior trim strips" according to the 2008 Z4 accessory catalogue I have. I think mine is "natural poplar" but not 100% sure.
  7. Hi! No, not runflats. The Z4M ditched runflats & electric power steering & went back to "normal" tyres and hydraulic power steering. I do such a low annual mileage that road grip (dry and wet!) is #1, price is #2. Not interested in whether they are long (hard!) wearing or noisey. I was guided by www.tyrereviews.co.uk when I last bought a set of tyres- Goodyear Eagle Asymetric 2- considered as good as Pirelli P Zero Rosso. What could be more subjective than colour? Although I will confess to once owning a black car, it only served to confirm every negative thought I've ever had about black cars. I do find it interesting how so many sports/sporty cars are ordered new in black, dark grey, etc colours I consider "boring old fart" colours. Give me red, yellow, BRG, white (it's the "new black" did you know?) any day. Yes I know... Silbergrau Metallic is in my "boring" category but I didn't get a colour choice, just like when I once bought black :-) Cheers
  8. Thanks. After 3 1/2years of the brushed aluminium finish on the 2003 Z4 2.5i the woodgrain finish is a pleasant change and it matches the Sepang Brown nappa leather upholstery. If I was buying the car new ($162,900 in NZ!!!) I would have choosen the Imola Red body colour & black upholstery with the black crackle finish on dashboard & centre console. I always keep my cars original (with the exception of fitting triple air horns as factory horns are usually next to useless) and so won't be painting over the woodgrain. Just got the radio reprogrammed for "Oceania" with the help of three different forum members and am now investigating the best price to get the Navigation System converted to work in NZ. I'll need new rear tyres for my next W.o.F. Currently it has the four original fitment Yokohama Advans. Who does Pirelli P Zero or Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric2 at best price? 255/40/ZR18.
  9. Thanks Jochen, Glen & Joe Clifton With help from each of you I have reprogrammed my tuner to "Oceania" (OCE) from "Japan". The procedure for my Navigation System / CID radio with TV/GPS monitor is 1. Turn ignition to "accessory" position 2. Turn radio on 3. Immediately press the "SEL" button & hold for at least 8 seconds until the serial number appears indicating you have entered the radio's service mode. 4. Cycle through the functions using the "< >" station search buttons until you see "JAPAN" 5. Use the 1.2.3.4.5.6 buttons to scroll through the different AREA options until you come to OCEANIA ('OCE") 6. Switch off radio to store the change The RDS features are now available & the correct frequency displays for each station from 87 - 108 Mhz :-)) Re the Navigation System - I've had one quote for $1250 but at that figure will not be rushing..... Any lower prices out there?? Trade Me has an ad by certain person from Te Awamutu who may just be on this forum....
  10. Hi I've just joined and have already had help on a specific topic from two members **Glenn** and Joe Clifton. Thanks! I recently had a 2003 Z4 2.5i MSport for four months which I bought off my girlfriend at the time because she needed the cash and which I recently sold. I'm not old enough (yet) for Steptronic. I've been driving for 45 years and still have the use of my clutch leg. Anyway, driving the Z4 occasionally over the last 3 years gave me a liking and respect for it. I've just bought a 2006 Z4M roadster. Silbergrau Metallic. 22,000km. Manufactured 02/2006, first registered Japan May 2006, imported to NZ May 2008 @ 20km by retired car dealer who looked at it more than he drove it over the following 4 1/2 years. So it's only done 22,300km!! Has EVERY option I'm aware of. Including the hardtop I kept from the 2.5i. :-) Few pics attached. 11. Hi. I have just purchased a 2006 E85 Z4M roadster. It is ex-Japan and fitted with a "BMW Navigation System". I wish to 1. use the FM tuner on NZ frequencies 2. use the navigation function I've tried to follow the 5 steps in your post but there is no "m" button to press/hold, only a "mode" and "menu" button. Do you know how to get into service menu on a Navigation System? Can anyone provide a lead to have the navigation mode made functional for NZ. Thanks
