For quick diagnostic, I would read the fault memory from EWS and KOBI. Also check the fuse for central locking if your interior light still can be triggered by remote key.

Yes, I did mean 6NR, you do need latest software on CIC to enable those features, it is nice to have Internet Tethering working with iDrive system. also you will get album cover when play ipod. I am doing the update on my CIC at moment, and retrofiting 6NR in my E92 hope they are not going to ask you to sign the disclaimer before the software update, (happened to me 2 years ago when I can't do update by myself) dealer does not want to take any responsibility if something goes wrong during the update. but if the software update is what they offer to you as an extra service on top of your purchase, then you should be fine

Since you brought the new car, hope your one come with BMW Connect drive feature with combox which allow you to have text message reading, iphone apps and Internet via your iDrive system .

I don’t think any 3rd party manufacture wants to spend money to develop such product for small market. Hope BMW can provide the solution with new DVB-T tuner specialty designed for NZ cars.

This looks like the new version of combox feature which replaced the old USB and ipod support feature and bluetooth module. We are waiting for the parts to do the retrofit on one E92. Will update the result soon.

Totally agree. But it all comes down how you can justfy the addtional cost for addting those features into your car. I suggust to go for OEM as well, since you have already got OEM screen. The only problem is the map update later on, as I couldn't confirm if BMW still making any update for older MK navigation system. If you do want to go down to the aftermarket route: Then you need to know that for Hualingan product, you may need to do some modification to cut some frame as below: The reason for Dynavin unit only got 6.5" screen is because it try to avoid the frame cutting. But personally, if GPS map is not the main concern, I still want to go for the OEM solution. I have done alot of JAP E60, E90, E70 Navigation upgrade and conversion, although they are very expensive to do, but after the conversion, they all really like it and think it is really worth to spend. The only differnt for you is that map update. Authough I am a Dynavin distrobutor in NZ, I still have to say that aftermarket solution can never be 100% profect as OEM, but we have to say it is a good cost effective solution for overall features you can get, such as Dynavin or Hualingan. Again, it all come down to how you are going to justfy the cost and how much you are willing to spend.

First Dyanvin DVN-E9X installed into a E90 320I today. Works great. The interface is exactly same as E46 and E39 one. But it is uses full size SD card rather than micro SD. Took few pictures when doing the install Removed BMW Radio professional and A/C control Also removed bracket behind that Route USB and iPod cable to glove box Route mic to FZD where OEM mic locates Almost finished Really nice fit, except the bottom bit is not prefect which you still can see the edge of the A/C unit. But overall it is really nice. For reverse camera, you don't really need to tap the reverse light as it come with a CAN filter, which will get all CAN signal and translate to IR or single line singal, such as reverse, multi-function steering wheel control and ACC. This made the installation become extremely easy.
