It was 40 odd mm from the front chassis rail as they bend downwards,way lower than the side skirts etc. Mine is around 50mm at lowest point (front chassis) and it never hits the ground whilst driving at speed. Just have to creep over judderbars and driveways. Ask Diablo23 aswell,his is even lower than mine.

"Low az" and good handling shouldn't be said in the same sentence. No they won't be captive and don't bother compressing superlows,just compress your factory ones. Can suss an ol' mate who will shorten your shocks for 50 a pair if you take them out and give them to him...which will evidently make it handle even worse.

The whole idea of a cert is to make sure a modified car is safe etc. She got 4 new shocks,custom made springs (not compressed,made from scratch at snells) new bumpstops,new shock mounts etc and apart from scraping bumps etc it was firm as,not bouncy etc.Meh cert guy thought it was fine but cops said that you can't get a cert for being that low. Took it to a VTNZ wof place next day and they passed it with the same height and everything. So basically Ftp

Dont bother with a cert,waste of time. My mate had just spent over 2k getting her E36 on it's arse...had way too much gangster lean,not my thing ( looked like a dog dragging when it's got ring worms) anyways got it all certed for being 40mm at the lowest point. Paid 480 for cert. Got stickered the next weekend. Cops can and will do whatever the f**k they want.Heaps of my mates have been stickered even with full certs and very un-rangi mods. I've had no trouble so far.But must admit,car handles like arse and is bouncy as.Meh Low an' Slow Stz.

Is there not some way of getting adjustable struts or something made up using your factory strut? Feraz at Uniquetints was telling me how he got his car real low legally with heaps of travel etc.said some shock person welded/moded his strut with an adjustable something or rather? Anyone wanna elaborate?
