E30 had same problem.Fuel level sender in the fuel tank which is under the seat.Guess it's probably the same on an E36. Stuck a new one in (after trying three that didnt fit) and it was sweet. Worth a try

Quite keen on a 318 manual. It doesn't have a FSH but has most of it there including new engine at 90xxx kms. How much JMJ? PM me!

Going to look at a few E36's tonight and was just wonderng if theres anything I should be looking out for. All are 6 cylinders bar one which is a 318i manual,and are all newer than 1994. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Ashkan

Take it to an upholsterer. Me and a mate of mine spent a whole day ripping out and replacing the hoodlining in his E36 318is and it came out average,but was such a niggly job. Work the whole day and use the money to pay an upholsterer! my 2c

Sold my car with the factory leather seats so now have two Jamex Daytona(?) bucket seats on welded up E30 rails.Dont know what else the rails will fit,quite sure its nothing other than an E30 but weld up your own rails and theyre good to go.Pretty good condition,no rips,holes,fading etc,one small stain on ther back where a corona was spilt,can hardly see it. Doesnt come with seatbelts or any bolts (just use originals) Chris,Gus,Ollie and pretty much anyone else who's sat in them will vouch that they are,well, the most badass seats ever made. Strongly recommend sitting in them before buying (only just fit in them and I weigh bout 65kg) Pics up tommorow,as will be listing on trademe. $250 ono
