  1. cool pics, but your bloody lucky you didnt get stuck on that beach, i went for a road trip up there went on the beach and some how ended in the soft stuff with the water coming in fast!! wasnt my bema thankfully my girls celica, with help of some people got it out but wont drive on that beach again! <_< .

  2. Did you notice much difference on your E36? worthwhile change?

a little difference not much, but was changing to arctic aswell so it might of just been that, they blew about 6 months later thoe, one blew then i went to change it turned on the lights and the other one blew, so both went basically at the same time, a few days apart.

  3. My Girlfriend has 'trusted' me with looking after her low mileage Z3 Auto [while she's overseas]

Being Summer and living in Tauranga the opportunity/temptation is too much!

If I unplugged the speedo drive at the diff would this affect the auto or DME's performance in any way [on mitzy's they don't shift from low,so I assume BMW's are just as clever]

    Anyone tried this?

Have a lot of fun summer everyone! [i've had a great time with you people on this forum]

ok first off sorry to say grow some balls and drive it, who cares what she gonna do, its better to ask for forgivness then to ask for permission, my girlfriend has a 66 valiant which is her baby, colum shift, me being 23 and all neva driven a colum shift, she wouldnt let me drive it so when she went to work i drove it, she got pretty shitty but she forgave me after a while, even got her to apoligise to me lol (dont ask me how) and ive driven it quite a bit since with her knowledge, i wont let her drive my bmw thoe, shes ruff with the gear changes lol.

secondly i very much doubt you can drive it with out regerstring the K's on the speedo

  4. which beaurepairs? just so i no to stear clear, thats pretty shocking, i would write the letters as lidistick said, but before you do give them a call and see what they say, just a quick call to the store manager, if he blows you off and says he cant do anything, then write your letters, get the names of the people who did the work to.

  5. just rip the muffler off, sounds pretty loud, i had one with no exhaust for a while, funny little things, but sounds pretty wierd a blocked muffler being the cause, i would take it off to see if it runs then sort out some type of other muffler for it, probably get one custom made for $550 seems abit overboard.

  6. could also be your imobiliser, ive experienced both, screwed stater motor, replaced it then a few months later imobilizer packed up having the same symptoms as the starter motor failure, test by checking if starter motor is recieving power when the car not turning on by holding a test light or multimeter to the big red wire on the starter motor.

  7. id say a wiring issue, somewhere its shorting, i can suggest one place to check if not there then good luck, check the bunch of wires running from your boot lid through to your car, they can cause various issues that ive heard of as the motion of the boot opening can cause wear on the wires.

  8. dont do uniden, been told by some dodgy friends that there easy to bypass, they also told me that dynatron is the hardest and takes about 4-5 hours to bypass, but having said that i have a dynatron but it wasnt installed very well and i could bypass it in less the 20 mins, the trick is not what alarm you buy but how you install it, a good way to install it would be change all coulored wires from your ingnition to black maybe with numbers on them so you know what they do, then have the alarm module hidden so far into the dash that the hole dash would have to be removed, like up behind the insturment cluster or get creative and throw it somewhere completely unthinkablke eg under backseat, then all the wires from that to be black also.

i dont think it matters to much what alartm system you get depends more on how you instal it, as i said i have a dynatron i can bypass in 20 mins.

  9. yeah just wondering what all the warning lights are, i dont have my camera which woulda made this easyer but at the monent i have battery light, oil light, brake pad sensor light, abs, handbreak and one with an exclimation mark through it?.

cant seem to find it in the manual

  10. might be a noob question, but what lights are meant to be there when you start you car, in the instrument panel?, ive noticed that alot of people have found that bulbs have been blown, and since i dont know the history to well of my car im not sure whats meant to be there, its a 94 e36 318is, anyone got a picture of what lights are meant to come up when starting the car? or when in the on position.

  11. could be a slight crack or hole in the rubber piping from the air flow meter, sucking more air in during acceleration, creating a hissing noise? just a geuss but would also explain the miss firing aswell as you would be getting more air then the onboard computer would be registering.
