Thanks dude, I'll jack it up and have a looksie

I need some help, had a buckled front wheel and after getting that fixed things are still a bit wobbly on the front left, the guy putting the wheel on reckoned it felt a bit loose in the suspension but knew nothing about suspension... so what can I check, maybe its just a bush or something? where should I start looking?

Wow, best thread ever! Can't wait to see more as the project progresses!

It wouldn't cost a huge amount to get autobend to mandrel bend you a piece of tube and then attach a pod filter to it
-
Thanks everyone for your help, it turns out that my key is stuffed, I put the batteries in the spare and it synced fine... doh! The buttons on it were really badly worn so I transplanted its brains into the other key and all is good, yay!
-
*bump* standard sync methods not working
-
Mine wasd around 1250kg last time at the dump, E36 compact
-
Thanks Jochen, but could you please check the owners manual, I tried the above procedure with no luck, got the key sorta flashing but it didn't sync with the car
-
Cheers guys, I use it for work every day so I can't really mod it much, would like to pick up an E30 at some stage and work it

That'd be awesome man, yep, 95 318Ti, I found info on how to do it for the wireless remotes on the net, just nothing on the poxy optical ones like in these compacts, it's got a little infrared diode in the key and a pickup in the rear view mirror Chch BMW have offered to do it, but I'd rather spend the money on gas

Nicely done dude!! I think 10kw is an exaggeration tho' maybe 1-2 with a pod filter
