Seriously - this has become a Japan vs Euro grudge match. Don't let the side down - get voting for this:

Many of you on Myfacespacebook may have already seen this, but I encourage you all to make clicky on Chucky's cool 2kCup E30!! Is an E30 better looking than a Toyonda Levegra? Vote according to your heart... https://www.facebook.com/2kcup/posts/1264430960251238

Oh - it's identical to my old one! Still love that colour...
-
If that's the same as the one I had in my E39, it takes the reeeeaaaaally old GSM SIM card that is about the same size as a credit card. Haven't seen one of those cards since about 1999.

Yeah, I once had a psychotic horse try to climb out the back of a horse float - that was one truly terrifying moment! No steering at all for about 20 seconds. At least a car generally stays where you put it...

Thanks for all your input - I've found a crowd that will do a pretty good price, but with that pesky minimum of one cubic metre. Getting one set of tyres would be uneconomic, but two or more sets starts to look a bit better. I must go home and do more skidz.

I need to drag a car down from Auckland to Manfeild in a couple of weeks, and am looking for a suitable car trailer to hire. Most of the trailers at the big hire places are huge and capable of carrying a Land Cruiser, but my car is only small so I'm after something a bit more lightweight (but still tandem axle and fully braked). Anyone have/know of something that might work for me? Cheers Mungous

I'm looking at getting replacement PS3s for my car out of the USA (as they are muuuuch cheaper, even with GST and some customs fees added), but need to find a cheaper way of getting them to NZ to make it really worth my while. Anyone know of someone (or a service) that could provide space in a shipping container or similar?
-
I bought a cheap brand new Chinese 3/4" drive set off the Tard. Cost about $90 for a full set of enormous sockets with ratchet etc. Obviously the quality isn't great, but considering how often I won't use it, that's OK.
-
I'd be quite keen to check it out - are you based in Aucks?
-
Does anyone have a cylinder leakage tester that I could borrow (I'm in central Aucks)? I can even pay you in beer/wine/spirits as necessary...

Thanks for all the information guys. Mainfreight look like they can do a much better freight deal than the usual offerings from FedEx etc. - I got an online estimate of NZ$250 for seafreight for 2-8 (admittedly rather small) tyres! Still waiting for a freight estimate from Tirerack themselves, but I doubt they'll be able to beat $250. However GST and duty will kill any savings on a smaller order, and I don't really need 8 tyres...
-
Sorry to drag up an old topic, but with the NZD being so strong at the moment I am seriously considering ordering some tyres (tires) from tirerack.com. The US list price is at least 50% less than buying in NZ. Obviously GST on purchases over $400 (including freight) is a cost to be factored in. Has anyone done this in recent times, and what kind of freight charges were involved?

I'm in Sporkland, but will be in Dunedin and Chch soon. What you got?Yeah, new belts may be the go. KW seem to be pretty good value for money, and I guess anything that meets FIA spec must be OK...
-
I want to get a Motorsport Authority Card for the car - is this belt FIA approved?
