my windscreen wipers on my e36 320, have seem to broken, they only work on the fastest setting and when you turn them off they just stop we they are, so you have to time it so they are down when you flick them off, any ideas what this could be? not really a big problem just bloody annoying thanks

custom drive shaft and cross members, thats a bit more than a thought, i figured mounts would be different, thanks anyways but being a uni student 2k is abit out of my budget,i suppose thats the going rate for a 5 spd tho, and after finding out all that other stuff its prob pretty close to 2k if getting a mechanic to do the work i might have to rethink my options, does any one know what the auto transmission's can handle in the way of a power increase, my guess is that they are not desgined to handle much more than std

hey hows it going, good links for the turboi conversion, i have beenn wanting to power up my 320i as well and seriously considering turbo ing becasue engine conversions as a first thought are going to be to expensive, just a few questions which i cant find the answer to do you know how much boost std internals would be able to handle? what gearbox would you run?? can the auto's handle a decent power up or will they just blow? what computer where you thinking of running?? have you found any other sites of people who have done this?? i have about 6 grand to improve the performance of my 320i and i belive bang for your buck a turbo is the most effiecnt way to get a decent power up

i wouldnt mind buying a gearbox/engine combo because my engine is getting tired, i have a e36 320i, whats the engine code for the engine in this car?? sorry bmw newcomer still trying to get up to speed with everything would trademe be the best place to find parts ??

just wondering if any one has undertaken this?? how much could be be expected to be spent?? how easy are parts to find?? where would i find a manual gearbox?? any info would be great thanks

this may sound a bit stupid on my part, but this says e36 manifold, does this mean that it will fit on all engines in the e36 range ie 2l, 2.5, 2.8 etc

thanks for the positve feedback, have a confession the previous owner did the paint i think it is holden hothouse green very similar to the ford counter part, rims wernt a personal fav but when got them they were only decent 20s on the market, ill take the jap platye holder off this week end,thanks for that hint and as for the all show no go comment, yeah i hate it as well but in future keep an eye out and should be going alot quicker and have a manaul gearbox once again thanks for the feedback

thanks for the info guys, how much is one of the beamer engines mentioned above??? the reason being im a uni student so money is going to be a key, at the mo im leaning towrads a v8 (around 800 bucks) and then bolting two t04e'(700 a peice) turbos onto it, possibly a supra 6 speed box as well, ill run a microtech computer if change from a bmw engine for ease of running euro/jap stuff together, after some fueling and manifold etc im thinking a could prob produce around 350kw for under 5 grand, doing most of the work my self and leaving mounting the engine/wiring and tuning to professionals have always loved to own a gtr engine in something but these are far more expensive, would like to keep it bmw engine but i have always been under the impression these were expensive, i know they are sound engines that can make good power, at the moment im still looking at the options, the comments have been greatly appreciated

hi my e36 320i's engine and trans are on the way out so this calls for a new engine, since my backround with cars has been mainly japanese cars which i have built mainly for the purpose of drag racing a euro is a new thing for me. at the moment i am disappionted with the std power of a 2l engine so i have been thinking of some options for a new engine that can be popped in. my aim is about 350km at the rear wheels some things that i have thought of so far are - cheapest - lexus v8, would probably bolt some turbos on the side, i no this has been done before - rb25det out of r33 skyline , 2.5 l straght six with turbo - rb26dett out of skyline gtr, im pretty sure this hasnt been done before so would be unique these options are what i have thought of purely because i ahev a japanese car backround and knowledge of modifcations so, are there any bmw engine options i should be considering?? has anyone attempted any conversions as mentioned above?? and where can i find information about any such converisons? any info/ideas/opinions would be greatly appreciated, thanks matt
